TechnoMontréal at the ICF Summit
TechnoMontréal was present at the annual Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) Summit held in New York City from June 3 to 5, 2014. Executive Director Lidia Divry and Benoit Labbé, Director of Communications and Marketing, were accompanied by Harout Chitilian, Vice President of the City of Montreal’s Executive Committee and person responsible for information technologies, the Smart City, administrative reform and youth.
The summit served as an opportunity to attend conferences on major international trends in terms of intelligent cities, as well as to develop relationships with the metropolitan regions distinguished as being among the seven competition finalists. The TechoMontréal Board of Directors wish to extend their most sincere congratulations to the City of Toronto for being named the 2014 Intelligent Community of the Year. Toronto being granted this honour is an important contribution to the visibility and reach of our country, as well as to its positioning among digital leaders on the international scene. TechnoMontréal submitted the Greater Montreal candidacy to the ICF competition in August 2013 and succeeded in ranking the metropolis among the 21 Intelligent City semi-finalists for 2014, among 400 candidates.
